Marble

Marble

Marble is a metamorphic rock composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals. Marble is commonly used for sculpture and as a building material. Marble worktops require a little bit more care and maintenance than other materials, and it is important to fully understand this before you invest in one.

If you choose marble:

  • The marble is fat and acid sensitive, that’s why you have to avoid the corrosive chemicals.
  • If the marble is exposed to the continuous weather and UV radiation, it will lose its shine after 10-15 years.

Applications:

  • Flooring and ashlar
  • Kitchen worktops
  • Bathroom worktops
  • Indoor window sill
  • Sculptures

Periodically, marble is recommended for use with impregnating agents.

Because the marble is a natural mineral, color and pattern differences may occur.
